Week 4 - The week of clarifications and digitalisation

This week was the week we as a team clarified our project goals and planning, and started digitalising the work we have done on the walls of our studio! We decided on the approach we would like to take the coming weeks and made some plans to meet experts who may be relevant to our project the coming weeks.

Digitalisation

The past three weeks we placed a lot of information on our studio walls! It's covered in colourful post-its, drawings, cut-outs and text! Despite how beautiful it looked on our walls, the insights gathered needed to be further processed and summarised for our report. This was the running task for the whole week between other things we had (see below!).

Meeting with Students4Sustainability (S4S)

This week we met representatives from the S4S foundation and discussed possible support for our future prototypes. We briefly explained our project goal and vision, and gave them our preliminary plans for prototyping. The meeting ended with a promising second contact for when we have our final designs ready for prototyping!

Further Analysis

After getting a better understanding of Healthy Entrepreneurs and their organisation, we were able to define several important search areas, compile a preliminary list of requirements for our future designs and fill out the business model canvas for their current business proposition.

Next to this we performed a critical SWOT analysis of the company, allowing us to look at both internal and external factors that may influence Healthy Entrepreneurs and their mission. Complimenting this, we conducted a competition analysis which looked at four different levels (product form, product category, generic and budget) of competition. With the use of Google, we were surprised and inspired by the relevant companies / foundations we have found! We think this can come in handy for later in our design phase.

Next week we will finally meet our client and get to present some of our findings in Utrecht! We have many questions prepared and excited to see what kind of feedback and new insights we will get for our project! Next to this, we will also have a follow-up meeting with the PhD student Temitope Agbana to further discuss our project!
